Clinixian is Meridians base clinical management solution. Created using the IDME™  technology, Clinixian gives the basic administrative data capture and common patient clinical history and investigation results format.

To this partially completed solution Meridian staff and the client's clinical experts create their own patient care model - adding a range of data capture fields (known as archetypes) and structuring the user screens and workflow progressions according to their unique provision of patient care.

Once the 'model' is complete, the business rules are created and the practice specific reports added.

The preceding paragraphs capture the unique benefit of Clinixiian. With minimal effort, the client practice implements a solution which is exactly tailored to their own specialty clinic and which they can modify and enhance - without the inherent delays and expense - of contracting the vendors IT services.

Meridian can take full responsibility for the design and development of the 'model' or the clients 'domain knowledge' experts may take complete control of the process. Most often the 'model' is developed in a joint effort between the two project teams.

Clinixian has been used to develop an Obstetrics Management System (ObstetriX) for NSW Health, Matrix - a similar system for the Mater Healthcare Group with more 'models' under development such as a Fertility Clinic System, a Child Wellness System, Blood Disorder Management, Clinical Endoscopy Management and more.

A major benefit of a Clinixian solution is in the way that the treatment 'model' and best practice medicine is enforced throughout the organisation, particularly where remote clinics exist. Thus medico/legal liability may be substantially mitigated and rigid standards maintained.

Clinixian also may be used by pharmaceutical companies in drug trials.
