eWard Whiteboard  was originally designed to replace the physical whiteboards in common usage across most hospitals. As Privacy legislation was enacted, by most Western Governments,  these very useful items were no longer permitted.

This extremely powerful tool not only facilitates accurate and predictive bed management, but due to its tight integration with the hospital PMI (Patient Master Index) provides a real time window into the latest patient information.

Any information held by other hospital systems may be displayed in eWard Whiteboard providing that the host system is HL7 compliant. Displays may be configured by each user - to their unique requirement. Additional fields may be created, and the information thus captured uploaded to other hospital systems.

Bed managers find it an indispensable tool.

The system is equally effective managing a single hospital, a group of hospitals or a complete, geographical region.

eWard Whiteboard is provided with a complete set of reports, and custom reports can be added prior to implementation.

The product included Meridian's HL7 server  allowing bi-lateral messaging to and from other HL7 compliant hospital information systems.

A plug and play system,  eWard Whiteboard   is simple to install and importantly, as it pulls in patient and demographic information from the PMI requires no initial data entry. A hospital may choose to install and configure  eWard Whiteboard   using their own IT service or alternatively Meridian can provide configuration, implementation and training services

eWard Whiteboard  is priced according to the number of beds the organisation manages and is affordable for even the smallest cottage hospital.
